In this paper, we discuss the solvability of the p-k-Hessian inequality $\sigma _{k}^{\frac 1k} ( \lambda ( D_{i} (|Du|^{p-2}$ $ D_{j}u ) ) ) \geq f(u)$ on the entire space $\mathbb {R}^{n}$ and provide a necessary and sufficient condition, which can be regarded as a generalized Keller–Osserman condition. Furthermore, we obtain the optimal regularity of solution.

We investigate integral means over spherical shell of holomorphic functions in the unit ball $\mathbb {B}_n$ of $\mathbb {C}^n$ with respect to the weighted volume measures and their relation with the weighted Hadamard product. The main result of this paper has many consequences which improve some well-known estimates related to the Hadamard product in Hardy spaces and weighted Bergman spaces.

For two $\sigma $ -unital $C^*$ -algebras, we consider two equivalence bimodules over them, respectively. Then, by taking the crossed products by the equivalence bimodules, we get two inclusions of $C^*$ -algebras. Furthermore, we suppose that one of the inclusions of $C^*$ -algebras is irreducible, that is, the relative commutant of one of the $\sigma $ -unital $C^*$ -algebras in the multiplier $C^*$ -algebra of the crossed product is trivial. We will give a sufficient and necessary condition that the two inclusions are strongly Morita equivalent. Applying this result, we will compute the Picard group of a unital inclusion of unital $C^*$ -algebras induced by an equivalence bimodule over the unital $C^*$ -algebra under the assumption that the unital inclusion of unital $C^*$ -algebras is irreducible.

In this paper, we focus on a Kirchhoff-type equation with singular potential and critical exponent. By virtue of the generalized version of Lions-type theorem and the Nehari–Pohožaev manifold, we established the existence of Nehari–Pohožaev-type ground state solutions to the mentioned equation. Some recent results from the literature are generally improved and extended.

Let $\mathcal {B}(\mathcal {H})$ be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex Hilbert space $\mathcal {H}$ . In this paper, we first establish several sharp improved and refined versions of the Bohr’s inequality for the functions in the class $H^{\infty }(\mathbb {D},\mathcal {B}(\mathcal {H}))$ of bounded analytic functions from the unit disk $\mathbb {D}:=\{z \in \mathbb {C}:|z|<1\}$ into $\mathcal {B}(\mathcal {H})$ . For the complete circular domain $Q \subset \mathbb {C}^{n}$ , we prove the multidimensional analogues of the operator valued Bohr-type inequality which can be viewed as a special case of the result by G. Popescu [Adv. Math. 347 (2019), 1002–1053] for free holomorphic functions on polyballs. Finally, we establish the multidimensional analogues of several improved Bohr’s inequalities for operator valued functions in Q.

We improve on a result by Svetlana Jitomirskaya and Wencai Liu dealing with inhomogeneous Diophantine approximation in the coprime setting.

We show that every Lorentz sequence space $d(\textbf {w},p)$ admits a 1-complemented subspace Y distinct from $\ell _p$ and containing no isomorph of $d(\textbf {w},p)$ . In the general case, this is only the second nontrivial complemented subspace in $d(\textbf {w},p)$ yet known. We also give an explicit representation of Y in the special case $\textbf {w}=(n^{-\theta })_{n=1}^\infty $ ( $0<\theta <1$ ) as the $\ell _p$ -sum of finite-dimensional copies of $d(\textbf {w},p)$ . As an application, we find a sixth distinct element in the lattice of closed ideals of $\mathcal {L}(d(\textbf {w},p))$ , of which only five were previously known in the general case.

Let $E/\mathbb {Q}$ be an elliptic curve. For a prime p of good reduction, let $r(E,p)$ be the smallest non-negative integer that gives the x-coordinate of a point of maximal order in the group $E(\mathbb {F}_p)$ . We prove unconditionally that $r(E,p)> 0.72\log \log p$ for infinitely many p, and $r(E,p)> 0.36 \log p$ under the assumption of the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis. These can be viewed as elliptic curve analogues of classical lower bounds on the least primitive root of a prime.

We determine the asymptotic behavior of the eigenvalues of finite sections of the multiplicative Hilbert matrices.

We introduce shadow structures for singular knot theory. Precisely, we define two invariants of singular knots and links. First, we introduce a notion of action of a singquandle on a set to define a shadow counting invariant of singular links which generalize the classical shadow colorings of knots by quandles. We then define a shadow polynomial invariant for shadow structures. Lastly, we enhance the shadow counting invariant by combining both the shadow counting invariant and the shadow polynomial invariant. Explicit examples of computations are given.

Let $\mathscr {A}$ be a topological Azumaya algebra of degree $mn$ over a CW complex X. We give conditions for the positive integers m and n, and the space X so that $\mathscr {A}$ can be decomposed as the tensor product of topological Azumaya algebras of degrees m and n. Then we prove that if $m<n$ and the dimension of X is higher than $2m+1$ , $\mathscr {A}$ may not have such decomposition.

The $\rho $ -Einstein soliton is a self-similar solution of the Ricci–Bourguignon flow, which includes or relates to some famous geometric solitons, for example, the Ricci soliton and the Yamabe soliton, and so on. This paper deals with the study of $\rho $ -Einstein solitons on Sasakian manifolds. First, we prove that if a Sasakian manifold M admits a nontrivial $\rho $ -Einstein soliton $(M,g,V,\lambda )$ , then M is $\mathcal {D}$ -homothetically fixed null $\eta $ -Einstein and the soliton vector field V is Jacobi field along trajectories of the Reeb vector field $\xi $ , nonstrict infinitesimal contact transformation and leaves $\varphi $ invariant. Next, we find two sufficient conditions for a compact $\rho $ -Einstein almost soliton to be trivial (Einstein) under the assumption that the soliton vector field is an infinitesimal contact transformation or is parallel to the Reeb vector field $\xi $ .

Let p be a prime. A pro-p group G is said to be 1-smooth if it can be endowed with a continuous representation $\theta \colon G\to \mathrm {GL}_1(\mathbb {Z}_p)$ such that every open subgroup H of G, together with the restriction $\theta \vert _H$ , satisfies a formal version of Hilbert 90. We prove that every 1-smooth pro-p group contains a unique maximal closed abelian normal subgroup, in analogy with a result by Engler and Koenigsmann on maximal pro-p Galois groups of fields, and that if a 1-smooth pro-p group is solvable, then it is locally uniformly powerful, in analogy with a result by Ware on maximal pro-p Galois groups of fields. Finally, we ask whether 1-smooth pro-p groups satisfy a “Tits’ alternative.”

Let q be a prime number and $K = \mathbb Q(\theta )$ be an algebraic number field with $\theta $ a root of an irreducible trinomial $x^{6}+ax+b$ having integer coefficients. In this paper, we provide some explicit conditions on $a, b$ for which K is not monogenic. As an application, in a special case when $a =0$ , K is not monogenic if $b\equiv 7 \mod 8$ or $b\equiv 8 \mod 9$ . As an example, we also give a nonmonogenic class of number fields defined by irreducible sextic trinomials.

Let E be an elliptic curve defined over a number field F with good ordinary reduction at all primes above p, and let $F_\infty $ be a finitely ramified uniform pro-p extension of F containing the cyclotomic $\mathbb {Z}_p$ -extension $F_{\operatorname {cyc}}$ . Set $F^{(n)}$ be the nth layer of the tower, and $F^{(n)}_{\operatorname {cyc}}$ the cyclotomic $\mathbb {Z}_p$ -extension of $F^{(n)}$ . We study the growth of the rank of $E(F^{(n)})$ by analyzing the growth of the $\lambda $ -invariant of the Selmer group over $F^{(n)}_{ \operatorname {cyc}}$ as $n\rightarrow \infty $ . This method has its origins in work of A. Cuoco, who studied $\mathbb {Z}_p^2$ -extensions. Refined estimates for growth are proved that are close to conjectured estimates. The results are illustrated in special cases.

We present a Zermelo–Fraenkel ( $\textbf {ZF}$ ) consistency result regarding bi-orderability of groups. A classical consequence of the ultrafilter lemma is that a group is bi-orderable if and only if it is locally bi-orderable. We show that there exists a model of $\textbf {ZF}$ plus dependent choice in which there is a group which is locally free (ergo locally bi-orderable) and not bi-orderable, and the group can be given a total order. The model also includes a torsion-free abelian group which is not bi-orderable but can be given a total order.

We give a family of real quadratic fields such that the 2-class field towers over their cyclotomic $\mathbb Z_2$ -extensions have metabelian Galois groups of abelian invariants $[2,2,2]$ . We also consider the boundedness of the Galois groups in relation to Greenberg’s conjecture, and calculate their class-2 quotients with an explicit example.

In this paper, let A be an infinite-dimensional stably finite unital simple separable $\mathrm {C^*}$ -algebra. Let $B\subset A$ be a centrally large subalgebra in A such that B has uniform property $\Gamma $ . Then we prove that A has uniform property $\Gamma $ . Let $\Omega $ be a class of stably finite unital $\mathrm {C^*}$ -algebras such that for any $B\in \Omega $ , B has uniform property $\Gamma $ . Then we show that A has uniform property $\Gamma $ for any simple unital $\mathrm {C^*}$ -algebra $A\in \rm {TA}\Omega $ .

Set-theoretic solutions to the Yang–Baxter equation can be classified by their universal coverings and their fundamental groupoids. Extending previous results, universal coverings of irreducible involutive solutions are classified in the degenerate case. These solutions are described in terms of a group with a distinguished self-map. The classification in the nondegenerate case is simplified and compared with the description in the degenerate case.
