Since 2007, the assessment and acknowledgement of the dependance level by the assessment doctor have been the prerequisite for admission of the care benefit. Since January 2012, the way of disability assessment - governed by the law and the edict - will be changing. The new assessment procedure results from the rating concept called „Activity of daily living (ADL)“and comprimation of ICF principles. Within the dependace level assessment process there will be rated operational impact of long-lasting inauspicious health state on the ability of coping with 10 basic necessaries of life: mobility, orientation (space-finding), comunication, feeding, dressing up and putting on shoes, personal hygiene, performance of physiological need, care about health, personal activities and care about household. In 2007, there were 146 555 acknowledged dependancies and 21 597 of them were constituted because of mental disorder. In 2010, there were 144 313 acknowledged dependance levels, out of which 24 278 because of mental illness. The operational abilities will be rated with the usage of commonly accessible objects of daily routine or household accessories, facilities of public space or medical devices.
In comparison with 2007, in 2010 there was increase in the dependance because of mental illness.
This growth can be explained by the increase of mental disorders and dystropy.
