In this paper we discuss three distance functions on the set of convex bodies. In particular we study the convergence of Delzant polytopes, which are fundamental objects in symplectic toric geometry. By using these observations, we derive some convergence theorems for symplectic toric manifolds with respect to the Gromov–Hausdorff distance.

Inspired by a result in T. H. Colding. (16). Acta. Math. 209(2) (2012), 229-263 [16] of Colding, the present paper studies the Green function $G$ on a non-parabolic $\operatorname {RCD}(0,\,N)$ space $(X,\, \mathsf {d},\, \mathfrak {m})$ for some finite $N>2$. Defining $\mathsf {b}_x=G(x,\, \cdot )^{\frac {1}{2-N}}$ for a point $x \in X$, which plays a role of a smoothed distance function from $x$, we prove that the gradient $|\nabla \mathsf {b}_x|$ has the canonical pointwise representative with the sharp upper bound in terms of the $N$-volume density $\nu _x=\lim _{r\to 0^+}\frac {\mathfrak {m} (B_r(x))}{r^N}$ of $\mathfrak {m}$ at $x$;

We show continuity under equivariant Gromov–Hausdorff convergence of the critical exponent of discrete, non-elementary, torsion-free, quasiconvex-cocompact groups with uniformly bounded codiameter acting on uniformly Gromov-hyperbolic metric spaces.

The modular Gromov–Hausdorff propinquity is a distance on classes of modules endowed with quantum metric information, in the form of a metric form of a connection and a left Hilbert module structure. This paper proves that the family of Heisenberg modules over quantum two tori, when endowed with their canonical connections, form a family of metrized quantum vector bundles, as a first step in proving that Heisenberg modules form a continuous family for the modular Gromov–Hausdorff propinquity.

We study the Chern-Ricci flow, an evolution equation of Hermitian metrics, on a family of Oeljeklaus–Toma $\left( \text{OT-} \right)$ manifolds that are non-Kähler compact complex manifolds with negative Kodaira dimension. We prove that after an initial conformal change, the flow converges in the Gromov–Hausdorff sense to a torus with a flat Riemannian metric determined by the $\text{OT}$-manifolds themselves.

We reconcile two classical models of edge dislocations in solids. The first, from the early 1900s, models isolated edge dislocations as line singularities in locally Euclidean manifolds. The second, from the 1950s, models continuously distributed edge dislocations as smooth manifolds endowed with non-symmetric affine connections (equivalently, endowed with torsion fields). In both models, the solid is modelled as a Weitzenböck manifold. We prove, using a weak notion of convergence, that the second model can be obtained rigorously as a homogenization limit of the first model as the density of singular edge dislocation tends to infinity.
