Promoting your article
We encourage authors to actively promote their articles globally to their colleagues and fellow researchers. Cambridge University Press provides a suite of resources to help you engage with your readership, increase your visibility and make your article more discoverable online.
The published document may be included in media, social media. Consider generating a video abstract to promote interest in your manuscript.
Video Abstracts
AJEE supports authors constructing a video abstract for the publication.
Some guidelines for generating your video abstract follow:
- People are more likely to watch shorter videos than longer ones – so keeping it under 4 minutes is a good idea.
- Provide an overview of the context, background, what you did and what you found. You might want to highlight the research questions.
- Can you draw out the implications for an environmental education practice?
- If you can avoid it being just you talking to the camera – great. Can you include imagery?
- It’s not necessary to have the references listed at the end (like scrolling credits).
- Avoid using jargon, making it more accessible to a non-academic audience.
- Please include the transcript for the video – to embed closed captions.
Provide the abstract video the AJEE Assistant Editor.
