MATERIALS AND METHODS
All herbarium specimens examined are lodged at the US
National Fungus Collection, Beltsville, Maryland (BPI). For
microscopic examination the fungi were mounted in lactophenol and
water. Measurements were made from lactophenol
preparations at 1000× [not 100×] magnification. The 95%
confidence intervals were derived from at least 30 observations,
and ranges are given in parentheses.
