Plant extracts as new anthelmintics
Once the basis for a bright parasite-free future, synthetic compounds used to control parasite infections have gradually lost their efficacy, as resistance against these drugs has evolved in many parasite species. In response to an urgent need for new means of control, researchers have turned to natural compounds. This collection of articles highlights efforts from researchers around the world to tap into the rich potential offered by plant extracts in the fight against all sorts of parasites.
