In addition, the journal publishes 'provocations' and 'reactions'. These are short pieces which take a novel or provocative stance on a particular topic, likely to initiate a lively dialogue, or which respond to an article previously published in Archaeological Dialogues. Provocations and Reactions can more essay-like in style. They are usually solicited by the editorial board, but scholars with suggestions in this direction are encouraged to contact the Editors.
