In the fourth paragraph on page 104, the fourth sentence should have read: ‘Thus, LD forest species have larger laminae with lower SLA.’ instead of the original ‘Thus, LD forest species have larger laminae with higher SLA.’

In the fourth paragraph on page 104, the fifth sentence should have read: ‘Similar to the monocot patterns shown here, dicot species are known to show a decrease in SLA with lamina area (Shipley 1995)’ instead of the original ‘Similar to the monocot patterns shown here, dicot species are known to show an increase in SLA with lamina area (Shipley 1995)’.

In the fourth paragraph on page 104, the citation in the second to last sentence should be: (Bazzaz & Pickett 1980) instead of the original (Shipley 1995).
