Srougi Shai. ‘Core–Periphery Interactions in the Late and Post-Ottoman Periods: Dependency and the Uneven Development of Thessaloniki: 1870–1936’. European Review 21, no. 3 (2013). http://dx.doi.org/10.1017/S1062798713000392

Owing to technical problems, not all the author’s proof corrections were entered into the above article.

The required amendments are as follows:

  1. 1. On page 430, the sequence of footnotes was disrupted. Two footnotes have been incorrectly numbered as 36 and 37, and they appear between footnotes 31 and 32. Only the numbering sequence is wrong; the contents of the footnotes are correct.

  2. 2. Footnotes 36 and 37 should in fact be one single footnote. Was it not for the error specified in (1) above, these notes would have appeared as a single footnote numbering 32. This double error has created an oddity in the list of footnotes specified at the end of the paper (p. 434). Footnotes 36 and 37 are in fact one single footnote which should have appeared as 32 in the text. The list of footnotes specified at the end of the paper should be amended accordingly. As it stands, footnote 31 is the last correctly-numbered footnote in this version.

  3. 3. The author apologizes for two omissions of biographical details:

  1. (a) footnote 29: Prof. George Mavrogordatos’ name was misspelled as Mavrogodatos

  2. (b) footnote 36: Prof. Mark Mazower’s name was misspelled as Iazower

  1. 4. In footnotes 23 and 35 the name of the Greek newspaper should read as follows:

Tachidromos tis Voreiyou Ellathos.
