The article by Longxiang et al. (published online 1 October 2015) was erroneously published twice on First View for International Journal of Astrobiology. The first version was published online before the final corrections had been made, subsequently it is necessary to retract the earlier version of the article for there to be only one correct version of the record. The incorrect version of the article has been removed from the journal and the correct version can be found by using the correct doi:10.1017/S1473550415000245. The publishers apologise for this oversight.
