COVID -19: A global pandemic that has cast a dark shadow in every individual's life across the world. There is widespread fear, and uncertainty but at the same time, there is hope. Mental health teams all over the world are trying their best to bring brightness into people's life. They have been continuously supporting people using online consultation, emergency helpline numbers, busting fake news, and discovering new treatments. Vaccination against Covid-19 surely provides a glimmer of light for a better future.
As part of its 180th anniversary celebrations, the Royal College of Psychiatrists invited people to contribute their thoughts and impressions of psychiatry and mental health services today. This image was one of the entries, which are all now archived at the RCPsych, supplementing and complementing the more formal institutional records. https://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/about-us/library-and-archives/archives/future-archives.
We are always looking for interesting and visually appealing images for the cover of the Journal and would welcome suggestions or pictures, which should be sent to Dr Allan Beveridge, British Journal of Psychiatry, 21 Prescot Street, London, E1 8BB, UK or [email protected].
