The radius for gravitational capture of meteoroids by the Earth is
where R is the Earth's radius, h is the height where marked deceleration of meteor bodies begins, α0 is the average distance of the Earth from the Sun, v∞ and vg are preatmospheric and geocentric (undisturbed) velocities of the body.
