Interpretation of the “Third Harmonic” of the Solar Magnetic Cycle

The peak at ˜ 3/22 y−1 seen for all odd-degree axisymmetric modes in the SHF analysis of ‘nominal magnetic field’ seems to be an artifact of some non-linearity between the field magnitude and the sunspot occurence probability.
