The journal is encouraging submissions through the end of 2024 that highlight novel applications of machine learning, deep learning, or other advanced quantitative methods that address aspects of Quaternary science. We recognize that the specialty journals focusing on these topics are primarily data science journals, emphasizing significant improvements in learning algorithms. We seek examples of how these techniques are already being applied in novel ways to answer questions in the Earth sciences.
