Two new species of Ardeicola Clay, 1935 (Mallophaga, Ischnocera), from African ibises

Extract

Two new species of Ardeicola Clay, 1925 (Mallophaga, Ischnocera), A. keniensis and A. africanus, ectoparasites of African ibises, Lampribis olivacea akleyorum and L. rara respectively, are described. These species are closely related to each other, and the characters which distinguish them have been enumerated.
