Henneguya tegidiensis sp.nov. (Myxosporidia), from the freshwater fish Coregonus clupeoides pennantii (the Gwyniad)

Extract

A description is given of a new species of Henneguya (Myxosporidia), named H. tegidiensis sp.nov. It is parasitic in the freshwater fish, Coregonus clupeoides pennantii, from Lake Bala (North Wales), producing in it intramuscular cysts.
