Note

The Journal wishes to express its own feeling of loss at Dr. Schurz' passing. He was one of the founders of the Inter-American Academy with which he enthusiatically cooperated up until shortly before his death. No member was held in higher esteem by colleagues and associates. Definitely, the cause of inter-American understanding has lost one of its most effective advocates.
