The State of Food and Agriculture, 1955

In his annual report on the state of food and agriculture for 1955, the Director- General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (Cardon) noted that 1955 marked the tenth year of the organization; unlike previous annual reports, which had dealt mainly with the current situation and short-term outlook, the 1955 report was to be devoted to a review of the progress and experience of the whole preceding decade.
