Major depressive disorder (MDD) is one of the most prevalent medical conditions worldwide. Different factors were found to play a role in its etiology, including environmental ones (e.g., air pollution). The aim of this study was to evaluate the association between air pollution exposure and MDD severity.

Four hundred sixteen MDD subjects were recruited. Severity of MDD and functioning were evaluated through five rating scales: Montgomery–Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS), Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD), Clinical Global Impression (CGI), Global Assessment of Functioning (GAF), and Sheehan Disability Scale (SDS). Daily mean estimates of particulate matter with diameter ≤10 (PM10) and 2.5 μm (PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and apparent temperature (AT) were estimated based on subjects’ residential addresses. Daily estimates of the 2 weeks preceding recruitment were averaged to obtain cumulative exposure. Multivariate linear and ordinal regression models were applied to assess the associations between air pollutants and MDD severity, overall and stratifying by hypersusceptibility and AT.

Two-thirds of subjects were women and one-third had a family history of depression. Most women had depression with symptoms of anxiety, while men had predominantly melancholic depression. NO2 exposure was associated with worsening of MDD severity (HAMD: β = 1.94, 95% confidence interval [CI], [0.41–3.47]; GAF: β = −1.93, 95% CI [−3.89 to 0.02]), especially when temperatures were low or among hypersusceptible subjects. PM exposure showed an association with MDD severity only in these subgroups.

Exposure to air pollution worsens MDD severity, with hypersusceptibility and lower temperatures being exacerbating factors.

Consultation and liaison psychiatry (C-L psychiatry) in Switzerland can look back on a long tradition. It began in French-speaking Switzerland back in the 1960s and gradually spread throughout the country. Currently, C-L services are present throughout the country, although they differ greatly in terms of their services and dimensions. University hospitals and larger cantonal hospitals have extensive and differentiated services, while smaller hospitals in peripheral regions only offer basic services. There are also major differences in the financing models, which are decisive for the range of services offered. The question of funding, which has not yet been resolved satisfactorily despite various models and strategies, including at national level, is highly relevant for the further development and even the continued existence of C-L services. The introduction of the subspecialization in C-L psychiatry in 2010 and the lively training and CPD activities are of great importance for quality of the delivered services.

The birth of Consultation-Liaison (CLP) in Italy was made possible thanks to Act 180/1978, which started a 20-year-process that led to closing asylums and fostered the implementation of small psychiatric units within the general hospitals. In the meantime, Italian CLP grew steadily, fostered also by the enactment of two “Objective Mental Health Care” Plans (1994-1996 and 1998-2000), that led to the implementation of the organizational model of the mental health department (MHD).

As far as psychiatric referrals are concerned, the first Plan states that the MHD covers all territorial and hospital-based activities, in order to assure, among other services, the integration with hospital (with special attention paid to the Emergency Department and to consultation activity in non-psychiatric hospital wards) and general medicine (as well as other sectors, including mother and child health care).

With respect to psychiatric referral, the Second Plan states that “In the 24 months following the entry into force of the Plan, MHDs will adopt guidelines and procedure concerning several issues, including consultation-liaison activity in non-psychiatric hospital wards (which also includes mental health care for “psychiatric” patients hospitalized for non-psychiatric disease in the general hospital) and in Department of Addictions (for alcohol and other substances use disorders. According to the second Plan, Community Mental Health Services (CMHCs) provide, among other performances, CLP activity for general practitioners. Inside general hospitals, psychiatric referrals to non-psychiatric wards are provided by inpatient psychiatric units, when CLP Services are not available.

Since a standard definition of psychiatric consultation is not available, the one provided by the Italian region Emilia-Romagna will be used. The Region includes “consultation” among mental health services provided by CMHCs, and defines it as follows: “Psychiatric or psychological assessment carried out upon request from other [non psychiatric] Departments. The consultation includes both clinical interview with the patient and the medical report for the department that referred the patient.” The ways to identify consultation as one among other types of services provided by the MHD are defined, to count the overall number of consultations and monitor the clinical activity of health professional working in the different branches of the MHD. The following types of consultations are reckoned: consultations requested by general practitioners (who work within the Primary Care Department); consultations requested by the Department of Addiction (a branch of the MHD); and consultations requested by the Department of Child-Adolescent Psychiatry (which, as the previous one, is a branch on the MHD).

Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a leading cause of disability and premature mortality. This study compared the overall survival (OS) between patients with MDD and non-MDD controls stratified by gender, age, and comorbidities.

This nationwide population-based cohort study utilized longitudinal patient data (01/01/2010 – 12/31/2020) from the Hungarian National Health Insurance Fund database, which contains healthcare service data for the Hungarian population. Patients with MDD were selected and matched 1:1 to those without MDD using exact matching. The rates of conversion from MDD to bipolar disorder (BD) or schizophrenia were also investigated.

Overall, 471,773 patients were included in each of the matched MDD and non-MDD groups. Patients with MDD had significantly worse OS than non-MDD controls (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.50; 95% CI: 1.48−1.51; males HR = 1.69, 95% CI: 1.66–1.72; females HR = 1.40, 95% CI: 1.38–1.42). The estimated life expectancy of patients with MDD was 7.8 and 6.0 years less than that of controls aged 20 and 45 years, respectively. Adjusted analyses based on the presence of baseline comorbidities also showed that patients with MDD had worse survival than non-MDD controls (adjusted HR = 1.29, 95% CI: 1.28–1.31). After 11 years of follow-up, the cumulative conversions from MDD to BD and schizophrenia were 6.8 and 3.4%, respectively. Converted patients had significantly worse OS than non-converted patients.

Compared with the non-MDD controls, a higher mortality rate in patients with MDD, especially in those with comorbidities and/or who have converted to BD or schizophrenia, suggests that early detection and personalized treatment of MDD may reduce the mortality in patients diagnosed with MDD.

Music listening has been used as a sleep intervention among different populations. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to explore whether music is an effective sleep aid in adults with mental health problems.

We searched for studies investigating music interventions for sleep in adults with mental health problems. The primary outcome was subjective sleep quality; secondary outcomes were objective sleep outcomes, quality of life, and other mental health symptoms. Risk of bias assessment (RoB1) and random-effect model were used for the systematic review and meta-analyses.

The initial screening (n = 1492) resulted in 15 studies in the systematic review. Further qualified studies led to the meta-analysis of sleep quality (n = 7), depression (n = 5), and anxiety (n = 5). We found that the music listening intervention showed a potential effect on subjective sleep quality improvement compared to treatment-as-usual or no-intervention groups. When excluding an outlier study with an extreme effect, the meta-analysis showed a moderate effect on sleep quality (Hedges’ g = −0.66, 95% CI [−1.19, −0.13], t = −3.21, p = 0.0236). The highest risk of bias was the blinding of participants and researchers due to the nature of the music intervention.

Our results suggest that music interventions could have the potential to improve sleep quality among individuals with mental health problems, even though more high-quality studies are needed to establish the effect fully.

Consultation-Liaison (CL) psychiatry is the branch of psychiatric practice developed to offer support to patients with concomitant non-psychiatric diseases. In Portugal, most hospitals follow a model delivered by teams with Psychiatrists and Psychologists that support the medical team in wards. They act by advising directly other specialties’ colleagues after the observation of the patient and/or discussion of the case.

Bigger units, such as Santa Maria Hospital, in Lisbon, have tried a model of proximity to the community medical centers participating in local medical meetings, training of family doctors, discussing clinical situations directly and even doing psychiatric consultations, in community centers. This approach intends to extend primary mental health interventions and promote treatment in the community.

Substance use disorders (SUD) affect differentially women and men. Although the prevalence has been reported higher in men, those women with addictive disorders present a more vulnerable profile and are less likely to enter treatment than men. The aim of this presentation is to present an overview of how gonadal hormones may influence in response to substances, clinical differences in the addictive disorders and implications in treatment response.Ovarian steroid hormones (estrogen, progesterone), the metabolites of progesterone, and negative allosteric modulators of the gamma-aminobutyric acid A (GABA-A) receptor, such as dehydroepiandrostenedione (DHEA) may influence the behavioral effects of drugs.

While several risk factors for schizophrenia have been identified, their individual impacts are rather small. The relative independent and cumulative impacts of multiple risk factors on disease risk and age of onset warrant further investigation.

We conducted a register-based case–control study including all individuals receiving a schizophrenia spectrum disorder in Denmark from 1973 to 2018 (N = 29,142), and a healthy control sample matched 5:1 on age, sex, and parental socioeconomic status (N = 136,387). Register data included parental history of psychiatric illness, birth weight, gestational age, season of birth, population density of birthplace, immigration, paternal age, and Apgar scores. Data were analysed using logistic regression and machine learning.

Parental history of psychiatric illness (OR = 2.32 [95%CI 2.21–2.43]), high paternal age (OR = 1.30 [1.16–1.45]), and low birth weight (OR = 1.28 [1.16–1.41]) increased the odds of belonging to the patient group. In contrast, being a second-generation immigrant (OR = 0.65 [0.61–0.69]) and high population density of the birthplace (OR = 0.92 [0.89–0.96]) decreased the odds. The findings were supported by a decision tree analysis where parental history, paternal age, and birth weight contributed most to diagnostic classification (ACCtest = 0.69, AUCtest = 0.59, p < 0.001). Twenty percent of patients were child-onset cases. Here, female sex (OR = 1.82 [1.69–1.97]) and parental psychiatric illness (OR = 1.62 [1.49–1.77]) increased the odds of receiving the diagnosis <18 years.

Multiple early factors contribute independently to a higher psychosis risk, suggesting cumulative effects leading to symptom onset. Routine assessments of the most influential risk factors could be incorporated into clinical practise. Being female increased the risk of diagnosis during childhood, suggesting sex differences in the developmental trajectories of the disorder.

Towards a personalized response to public health issues of PIU in women, understanding female profiles of problematic internet users and their underlying psychosocial characteristics is a crucial preliminary step.

Mobile Problematic Internet Use (PIU) is most likely present in young females, with heavy pattern of use being specifically associated to some online activities including communication, buying, video gaming and video watching.

The present talk will introduce epidemiological data on female with PIU in Europe, and will afterwards describe clinical assessment and treatment of a young female suffering from mobile PIU.

Assessment found heavy social networks (SNs) use, being mainly explained by dysfunctional coping to low self-esteem and traumatic sexual experiences in her biography.

Psychotherapy consisted in CBT for excessive time devoted to SNs, relocating life-priorities and cognitive remediation targeting self-esteem, self-compassion, and assertiveness.

Behind quantitative data on PIU in female, each patient has specific needs for treatment that should be identified in other to address PIU.

Care process model used at ReConnecte since a decade allows for a comprehensive assessment of each PIU.

The fifth version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM-5) and its revised version (DSM-5-TR) propose severity levels for gambling disorder (GD) based on the number of criteria met. However, this taxonomy has some limitations. We aimed to assess the centrality of each criterion and its relationship by conducting a network analysis while considering sex differences.

We performed a network analysis with the DSM-5 criteria for GD with data from 4,203 treatment-seeking patients (3,836 men and 367 women) diagnosed with GD who sought for treatment in a general tertiary hospital which has a unit specialized in behavioral addictions.

The withdrawal criterion (“Restless or irritable when attempting to cut down or stop gambling”) showed the highest centrality values in both sexes. In men, the second most central criterion was the tolerance criterion (“Needs to gamble with increasing amounts of money in order to achieve the desired excitement”); while among women, the second was the chasing losses criterion (“After losing money gambling, often returns another day to get even”).

The most central criteria identified are associated with compulsivity-driven behaviors of the addictive process. Taking into account the high relevance and transitive capacity of withdrawal in both men and women, as well as tolerance in men, and chasing losses in women, the recognition and understanding of these symptoms are fundamental for the accurate diagnosis and severity assessment of GD.

Mood Disorders are common, encompass cognitive impairments and occur in later life including first onset after the age of 50 years of age. There is a considerable overlap between depression and dementia. The relationship between depression and dementia will be reviewed and the implications for diagnosis and treatment will be discussed. Novel agents targeting alternative neurotransmitter pathways and inflammatory processes are promising potential treatment options. Neurostimulation treatments play a role with ECT at present having the best utility for late onset depression.

Stressors across the lifespan are associated with the onset of major depressive disorder (MDD) and increased severity of depressive symptoms. However, it is unclear how lifetime stressors are related to specific MDD subtypes. The present study aims to examine the relationships between MDD subtypes and stressors experienced across the lifespan while considering potential confounders.

Data analyzed were from the Zone d’Épidémiologie Psychiatrique du Sud-Ouest de Montréal (N = 1351). Lifetime stressors included childhood maltreatment, child–parent bonding, and stressful life events. Person-centered analyses were used to identify the clusters/profiles of the studied variables and multinomial logistic regression analyses were performed to examine the relationships between stressors and identified MDD subtypes. Intersectional analysis was applied to further examine how distal stressors interact with proximal stressors to impact the development of MDD subtypes.

There was a significant association between proximal stressors and melancholic depression, whereas severe atypical depression and moderate depression were only associated with some domains of stressful life events. Additionally, those with severe atypical depression and melancholic depression were more likely to be exposed to distal stressors such as childhood maltreatment. The combinations of distal and proximal stressors predicted a greater risk of all MDD subtypes except for moderate atypical depression.

MDD was characterized into four subtypes based on depressive symptoms and severity. Different stressor profiles were linked with various MDD subtypes. More specific interventions and clinical management are called to provide precision treatment for MDD patients with unique stressor profiles and MDD subtypes.

The presentation will focus on long-term weight changes in patients with major depressive disorder who use antidepressants. Research studying weight change over periods of more than 12 months is scarce and the effects of depressive episodes and antidepressants on weight changes have rarely been assessed simultaneously. Using data of a prospective population-based CoLaus|PsyCoLaus study, data on the associations of antidepressant use prior to baseline and during a 5.5-year follow-up with changes in adiposity markers and multiple adjustments including for the effects of depressive episodes will be presented. The cohort included 2479 randomly selected 35 to 66 year-old white residents (mean age 49.9 years, 53.3% women) of an urban area who accepted the physical and psychiatric evaluations at baseline and follow-up (76.8% participation at the follow-up). Diagnostic information on mental disorders, treatment use including psychotropic drugs was elicited using a semi-structured interview. Independently of the effect of antidepressants used during the follow-up and the effects of depressive episodes, the number of any antidepressant compounds used prior to baseline was associated with lower increase of body mass index (BMI), whereas the use of antidepressants during the follow-up was associated with steeper increase in BMI and waist circumference. Within AD classes, the use of tricyclic AD (TCA) and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) prior to baseline was associated with lower increase, the use of SSRI during follow-up was associated with steeper increases in BMI. Similarly, the use of SSRI prior to baseline was associated with lower increase, the use of TCA and SSRI during the follow-up was associated with steeper increase in waist circumference. Finally, the use of SSRI during follow-up was also associated with steeper increase in fat mass. The findings support unfavorable obesogenic effects of sustained treatment not only with TCAs but also with SSRIs, suggesting that the benefit of long-term administration of these AD classes should be carefully weighed against the potential risk of weight gain.

Adverse childhood events (ACEs) have been linked to widespread chronic pain (CP) in various cross-sectional studies, mainly in clinical populations. However, the independent role of different ACEs on the development of different types of CP remains elusive. Accordingly, we aimed to prospectively assess the associations between specific types of ACEs with the development of multisite CP in a large population-based cohort.

Data stemmed from the three first follow-up evaluations of CoLaus|PsyCoLaus, a prospective population-based cohort study of initially 6734 participants (age range: 35–75 years). The present sample included 1537 participants with 2161 analyzable intervals (49.7% men, mean age 57.3 years). Diagnostic criteria for ACEs were elicited using semi-structured interviews and CP was assessed by self-rating questionnaires. Multinomial logistic regressions with generalized estimating equations method analyzed the relationship between the different ACEs measured in the beginning of the interval and the risk of developing multisite CP during the follow-up. Sensitivity analyses were performed to assess the predictive value of ACEs on multisite CP with neuropathic features.

Participants with a history of parental divorce or separation had an increased risk of developing multisite CP at during follow-up in comparison to those without (RR1.98; 95% CI 1.13–3.47). A strong association was highlighted between parental divorce or separation and the risk of subsequent CP with neuropathic characteristics (RR 4.21, 95% CI 1.45–12.18).

These results highlight the importance of psychotherapeutic management of people experiencing parental separation to prevent CP in the future.

The estimates of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) prevalence across various studies are significantly variable, contributing to uncertainty in ADHD prevalence estimation. Previous systematic reviews and meta-analyses have attributed this variability primarily to the methodological characteristics of the studies, including the diagnostic criteria, source of information, and impairment requirement for the diagnosis.

Review identified studies reporting ADHD prevalence in representative samples of children and adults in Europe and worldwide. Studies that were conducted in the general population were included. We focused on studies that report ADHD prevalence based on clinical diagnosis (clinical diagnostic criteria based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and International Classification of Diseases criteria, other diagnostic tools, such as various scales or interviews based on clinical diagnostic criteria). PubMed/Medline was searched to identify relevant articles published until 2024/2/01. The study was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42020200220) and followed Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020 guidelines for systematic review and meta-analysis.

In total, 117 studies were subjected to full evaluation. In the meta-analysis, 103 studies representing 159 independent datapoints were included. The overall prevalence of ADHD in register studies was 1.6%, 95% CI [0.9; 3.0], in survey studies 5.0%, 95% CI [2.9; 8.6], in one-stage clinical studies 4.2%, 95% CI [2.9; 6.0], and in two-stage clinical studies 4.8%, 95% CI [4.0; 5.8].

Exact comparisons among studies with different diagnostic criteria and types of sampling can impact prevalence estimates. When comparing data from methodologically different studies, these factors need to be considered.

Gender identity may be experienced within a broad spectrum beyond the binary understanding of sex concerning genital characteristics. In people with gender identities not congruent with the gender culturally associated with the sex assigned at birth, distress related to biopsychosocial correlates of this condition may arise. In current diagnostic systems, this is considered within the framework of “Gender Incongruence” (ICD-11) and “Gender Dysphoria” (DSM 5). Although this diversity is known to be present throughout the ages, the terms related to gender identity were introduced to medical literature a hundred years ago. They were popularized with the advances in medical procedures that assist individuals in acquiring physical features aligning with their gender identity and expression. There has been an increase in research interest with increasing numbers in medical centers working on gender-affirmative medical procedures. Starting from the 1970s, international organizations prepared guidelines on the standards of care for trans and gender diverse (TGD) individuals. Despite all the progress in the gender-affirming medical care provided to TGD individuals and the changes in the legal recognition of gender, health inequalities persist globally. The discrepancy in mental and physical health conditions has long been shown to be associated with “minority stress.” The minority stress perspective suggests that distal and proximal chronic stressors arising from society are associated with adverse health outcomes for TGD individuals. Resilience against these stressors is more robust with better coping styles and social support. Lately, structural stigma and discrimination have been shown to be an important source of inequality. Therefore, much more progress is still required with respect to societal inequalities, human rights, and structural transphobia for the improvements in medical care to impact the global health condition of TGD people. However, lately, there have been attempts to restrict TGD individuals’ access to medical care and their legal rights, even if they were not close to the level they ought to be. This backlash mostly sits on the discussion on the management of TGD adolescents and children. Models of care for these age groups have been developed for decades, and despite evidence of the protective and beneficial effects on health and development, in many countries, there are attempts to block their access to medical care. Growing debate on TGD care turned into a political combat, where scientific evidence and human rights perspectives are often ignored. These tendencies present a strong challenge for public health and the professional identity and practice of healthcare professionals.

Introduction: LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) people often do not seek health care and do not identify as LGBTQ people because of fear of judgment, stereotyping, and discrimination by health professionals. All of this is a particularly worrying phenomenon, because various mental difficulties, risky behaviors, and certain types of somatic and psychosomatic diseases may appear in a higher proportion among them.

Attitudes related to LGBTQ people were examined in several areas in Hungary. Most of our data comes from psychologists, however, a comprehensive examination of health professionals’ attitudes towards LGBTQ people has not yet been carried out.

In a cross-sectional online survey, we ask healthcare professionals (medical doctors, nurses, other graduate healthcare professionals and medical university students) to fill out our questionnaire. The participants complete the Modern Homonegativity Scale and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Clinical Skills Development Scale.

We assume that the majority of Hungarian healthcare professionals have a neutral or positive attitude towards LGBTQ people, but they struggle with a significant lack of affirmative skills. We will present our results in detail in the presentation of the symposium.

There is an urgent need to provide the appropriate affirmative knowledge material to Hungarian healthcare workers.

The differential diagnosis of psychiatric disorders is relatively challenging for several reasons. In this context, we believe that task-based magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can serve as a tool for differential diagnosis. The aim of this study was to explore the commonalities in brain activities among individuals with psychiatric disorders and to identify the key brain regions that can distinguish between these disorders.

The PubMed, MEDLINE, EMBASE, Web of Science, Scopus, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar databases were searched for whole-brain functional MRI studies that compared psychiatric patients and normal controls. The psychiatric disorders included schizophrenia (SCZ), bipolar disorder (BD), major depressive disorder (MDD), obsessive–compulsive disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Studies using go–nogo paradigms were selected, we then conducted activation likelihood estimation (ALE) meta-analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis on these studies subsequently.

A total of 152 studies (108 with patients) were selected and a consistent pattern was found, that is, decreased activities in the same brain regions across six disorders. Factor analysis clustered six disorders into three pairs: SCZ and ASD, MDD and BD, and ADHD and BD. Furthermore, the heterogeneity of SCZ and ASD was located in the left and right thalamus; and the heterogeneity of MDD and BD was located in the thalamus, insula, and superior frontal gyrus.

The results can lead to a new classification method for psychiatric disorders, benefit the differential diagnosis at an early stage, and help to understand the biobasis of psychiatric disorders.

This study investigates the effects of accelerated high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (aHF-rTMS), applied to the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), on locus coeruleus (LC) functional connectivity in the treatment of refractory medication-resistant major depression (MRD).

We studied 12 antidepressant-free refractory MRD patients, focusing on how aHF-rTMS affects the LC, a central component of the brain’s noradrenergic system and key to mood regulation and stress response.

A stronger decrease in LC functional connectivity following aHF-rTMS treatment resulted in better clinical improvement. We observed such LC functional connectivity decreases with several brain regions, including the superior frontal gyrus, precentral gyrus, middle occipital gyrus, and cerebellum. Moreover, our exploratory analyses hint at a possible role for E-field modeling in forecasting clinical outcomes. Additional analyses suggest potential genetic and dopaminergic factors influencing changes in LC functional connectivity in relation to clinical response.

The findings of this study underscore the pivotal role of the LC in orchestrating higher cognitive functions through its extensive connections with the prefrontal cortices, facilitating decision-making, influencing attention, and addressing depressive rumination. Additionally, the observed enhancement in LC-(posterior) cerebellar connectivity not only highlights the cerebellum’s role in moderating clinical outcomes through noradrenergic system modulation but also suggests its potential as a predictive marker for aHF-rTMS efficacy. These results reveal new insights into the neural mechanisms of refractory depression and suggest therapeutic targets for enhancing noradrenergic activity, thereby addressing both cognitive and psychomotor symptoms associated with the disorder.

Eating disorders are severe mental disorders with a high mortality rate - suicidality - and a high incidence in adolescence and early adulthood, especially in women. The course of these disorders is uncertain and treatment outcomes are limited, with successful outcomes in 50-75% of cases. For bulimia nervosa (BN) and binge eating disorder (BED), several factors, such as duration of the disorder, eating and general psychopathology, dysfunctional personality traits and cognitive impairment, have been found to be associated with treatment adherence and response. In anorexia nervosa (AN) and atypical ED (OSFED), treatment response is poorer, with higher dropout rates and longer duration and chronicity. In this presentation, we will describe recent prospective observational studies in large samples of EDs analysing clinical, personality and cognitive predictors of treatment response in eating disorders, as well as potential associated neurobiomarkers. Optimisation of health care resources and transitions, as well as early and effective personalised treatments, can change the trajectory of EDs.
