Following recent molecular phylogenetic studies in Old World Gesneriaceae the nomenclatural implications for names in Henckelia are examined. New combinations are made in Codonoboea and Loxocarpus to account for species now excluded from Henckelia. A list is presented in which the current position of all species hitherto assigned to Henckelia is given, including the new combination Henckelia rotundata (Barnett) D.J.Middleton & Mich.Möller. A new combination in Oreocharis is made.

In 1907, R. H. Beddome published a list of the Campanula species found in cultivation. Until recently it has been overlooked that Beddome validated two species names in this publication. Campanula lacei Duthie ex Bedd. is a species from the Himalayas of North-West India. It is lectotypified here and shown to be a synonym of Adenophora himalayana Feer. One of the syntypes of this species was collected from the far west of Nepal, but Adenophora has been overlooked in recent enumerations of the flora of Nepal. Campanula pelia Haussk. ex Bedd. is a species from Thessaly, Greece, and is the correct name for the taxon variously referred to as Campanula andrewsii var. pelia Halácsy or Campanula thessala Maire.

The species of Guarea F.Allam. ex L. (Meliaceae) are revised. Sixty-nine species are recognised, a key to the species is provided, all names are typified and descriptions of all species are given. A phylogenetic analysis based on ITS sequence data is discussed. Six new species and one new subspecies are described. Five new combinations for subspecies are made.

Asian and Pacific species of Manilkara (Sapotaceae) are revised. Thirteen species are recognised and a key is given. All names are typified and detailed descriptions with distribution maps and conservation assessments are provided.

Ochotonophila flava Dickoré & Freitag sp. nov. (Caryophyllaceae – Silenoideae) is described from the mountains of Bamiyan Province, central Afghanistan. It differs from the two previously known species endemic to Afghanistan, Ochotonophila allochrusoides Gilli and O. eglandulosa Hedge & Wendelbo, by its cream to yellow petals and elliptic leaves. A key to the identification of Ochotonophila species is provided; distribution and ecology are outlined.

New combinations are proposed in Phanera (Leguminosae: Caesalpinioideae) for two varieties of Bauhinia glabrifolia (Benth.) Baker.

The assemblage of specimens from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and western Venezuela that had been determined as a variable species, Hiraea cephalotes Triana & Planch. (Malpighiaceae), was found to comprise seven species in addition to H. cephalotes (Colombia, Ecuador). Six are newly described: Hiraea amazonica C.E.Anderson (Brazil), H. angustipetala C.E.Anderson (Ecuador), H. breteleri C.E.Anderson (Venezuela), H. ecuadorensis C.E.Anderson (Ecuador), H. escobariae C.E.Anderson (Colombia), and H. peruviana C.E.Anderson (Peru). Hiraea spruceana var. mortoniana J.F.Macbr. is elevated to the rank of species as H. mortoniana (J.F.Macbr.) C.E.Anderson (Peru). The name Hiraea spruceana Nied. is confirmed as a synonym of H. cephalotes. All eight species are characterised by having the flowers borne in axillary, multiflowered umbels. All but one have styles with a blunt apex; in Hiraea amazonica the apex of the styles is drawn out into a short spur. All species are illustrated.

Two new species of Convolvulus (Convolvulaceae), C. excelsus R.R.Mill and C. infantispinosus R.R.Mill, are described from Saudi Arabia. Convolvulus excelsus, an exceptionally tall species, has affinities with C. erinaceus Ledeb. but is phytogeographically disjunct from that and other allied species. Two new subspecies are also described: Convolvulus hystrix Vahl subsp. dhofarica R.R.Mill, from Oman, and C. oxyphyllus Boiss. subsp. sheilae R.R.Mill, from Saudi Arabia. Each novelty is given a provisional IUCN conservation assessment.

The new species Rhododendron mechukae A.A.Mao & A.Paul (Ericaceae) is described from India.

Bulbophyllum nepalense Raskoti & Ale (Orchidaceae) from Nepal is described and illustrated. Notes on the diagnostic characters used to distinguish it from the similar species Bulbophyllum retusiusculum are provided.

Cytisus sections Alburnoides DC., Spartopsis Dumort. and Verzinum (Raf.) Talavera (tribe Genisteae, Fabaceae) are revised. These comprise 10 species of the genus, of which two species are recognised in Cytisus section Alburnoides, four in Cytisus section Spartopsis (of which two species are divided into subspecies), and four in Cytisus section Verzinum (one with two subspecies). Three new combinations are made: Cytisus ardoinoi subsp. sauzeanus, C. grandiflorus subsp. maurus and C. scoparius subsp. insularis. Keys to the sections and to the species within each section are given. All taxa are described. Conservation assessments are made.

Holotypes do not exist for many names currently accepted in Calyptranthes (Myrtaceae – Myrciinae), either because the species was described with several syntypes or because the holotype is lost or destroyed. A thorough literature survey, extensive visits to international herbaria and analysis of online type collections has been undertaken. As a result, six lectotypifications and three neotypifications are made here. The type collection for Calyptranthes thomasiana is clarified.

The genus Rhynchotechum Blume (Gesneriaceae) is revised. It consists of 16 species, three of which are newly described here: Rhynchotechum burmanicum B.M.Anderson from Burma, R. gracile B.M.Anderson from Northeast India, and R. vietnamense B.M.Anderson from Vietnam. A new combination is made for Rhynchotechum hookeri (C.B.Clarke) B.M.Anderson. A key and descriptions of all species are provided.

The new species Camellia oconoriana Orel, Curry & Luu (Theaceae), endemic to Lam Dong Province, Vietnam, is described and illustrated. It is compared to Camellia species in sections Archaecamellia, Stereocarpus, Piquetia and Chrysantha. Morphological evidence supports a transitional placement in Camellia sect. Chrysantha ser. Chrysanthae.

An endemic species of Renealmia (Zingiberaceae) was treated under the illegitimate name R. sylvestris in Flora Neotropica (Maas, 1977). The new combination Renealmia striata (Stokes) Govaerts ex Maas is published for this species.

A new species of Rotala (Lythraceae) from India, R. kasaragodensis K.S.Prasad & Raveendran, is described and illustrated.
