Peer review information

Review process

This journal uses a double-anonymous peer review model. This means that the identities of both the peer reviewers and the authors are kept hidden.

Exceptions to the stated review process for this journal apply to some article types:

  • Research Notes and Analysis articles are reviewed single-anonymously.
  • Reflections and Insights are reviewed either single-anonymously or undergo review by the editors.

All submissions are peer reviewed by the editorial team and specialists in the field. Reviewers should have no conflict of interest, should advise authors of relevant published work and offer suggestions for strengthening their contributions, and should treat reviewed articles confidentially. Communication between authors and the journal are handled via the journal editors during the review process and following publication.
