Proofs
Following layout by our designer, proofs will be sent to all authors for final checks, with authors required to mark up any corrections which need to be made to the text before publication. Corrections must be limited to the correction of typesetting errors and the answering of any author queries. Any corrections that contradict journal style will not be transferred, nor will any comments on the layout. Authors are strongly advised to read these proofs thoroughly because any errors missed may appear in the final published paper. This will be your only chance to correct your proof. Once published, either online or in print, no further changes can be made.
Complimentary copies
Contributors will receive five free copies of the journal for major papers, two copies for reports, perspectives, reviews, and insight papers and one copy for obituaries, letter from papers. Electronic versions of the pages – from which further hard copies may be printed – can be made available to contributors. Funding open access
Multiple funding routes are available for Gold Open Access articles. Please see this journal's open access options for details.
Production
Once an article has been accepted, the process of copyediting, proofing, typesetting and publishing the article will begin. Authors will be asked to ensure all final files are submitted to ScholarOne before the article can be sent to Cambridge University Press for production.
Your point of contact with Cambridge University Press will be the content manager of the journal. For more information about how production works at Cambridge University Press, please see our information on publishing an accepted paper, which explains how an article goes from accepted manuscript to fully published. There may be small differences between journals with this process. You can also check our Journal Production FAQs.
