Summary

Memoriale

Benefactions and ‘register’ book, c. 1612–c. 1675 (TCL MS R.17.8). Memoriale Collegio Sanctae et Individuae Trinitatis in Academia Cantabrigiensi dicatum, 1614, pp. 85–133. Entries give authors or short titles; in order of benefactions. Most lists are in shelf order, but without locations. Written c.1612-c.1675 by John Scott and others. Incomplete (See fig. 10.)

Alphabetical Finding list, c.1640 (TCL Add. MS a.103). Eleven broadside sheets, 36cm × 46cm, versos blank, which may have been posted in the Library but which are now bound in folio. Entries give authors or short titles; locations give case, side, and shelf, but not running numbers. Written, probably by William Clutterbooke, Librarian, c.1640; not significantly added to.

Volume totals: MS 353; printed 1,819; total 2,172. (See fig. 25.)

Draft class catalogue, c.1645–8 (BL MS Sloane 78, ff. 139a–154a). Class catalogue drafted on sixteen folio leaves; lacks classes 22–26; law books not included. Entries give authors or short titles, with class, shelf, and running number. Written c. 1645–8, possibly by Thomas Pockley BA; not added to; probably never used.

Volume totals (incomplete): MS 198; printed 1,471; total 1,669. (See fig. 26.)

Indexed class catalogue, 1667–c.1675 (TCL Add. MS a.101). Folio class catalogue, drafted by Thomas Griffith, Librarian, in Add. MSS a.101 A, 102; written out by him and dated 1667 in Add. MS a. 101; added to until c. 1675; with an index of printed books; bound pamphlets and law books not included. Entries give authors and short titles, and occasionally dates; with class, shelf, and running numbers.
