Summary
This chapter explores effective learning opportunities that can occur within the clinical environment. The central role of the patients in this environment is highlighted and issues such as safety, consent, and capacity are considered. Several top tips to optimise learning in this environment are offered. Finally, the importance of remembering that much of the learning in the workplace occurs unconsciously is highlighted.
