Taxed at 70£, & pays nothing to the poor. A Corporation Town. Much reformed by the present V. A Cur. must be always kept. Ld Irwin lives here. ABP Wake saith, Bishopridge in this Parish is a peculiar.
ABP collated in Vacancy of the See of Chichester 1696 Entry B. IV. 546 pres. VI. 419. 407. VII. 214.
The parochial Book of 1663 refers for the Right of presentation to Reg. Abbot fol. 159 b & saith it was given by the king in Exchange.
