Summary

This short chapter conceptualises the political and economic transformations of Bosnia and Herzegovina over the past decades. It draws on the framework developed in Chapter 2 to contextualise socioeconomic injustice within Bosnia’s post-war and post-socialist conditions. The chapter touches on the socialist era, and highlights the economic dimension of Yugoslavia’s disintegration, before analysing the war from a politico-economic perspective in greater depth.
