Summary

Here, facing the end, we might well ask: What have we learned from this rethinking of death in and after Heidegger? By way of a concluding – and inevitably partial – recapitulation, I shall restate some of the main lessons we have drawn in this work, even while acknowledging (as we did in the preface) that the difficult existential questions we have explored here are not the kinds of issues that can be finally settled or uncontroversially summarized, once and for all.
