Convocatio praelatorum et cleri Cantuariensis provinciae, facta per reverendissimum in Christo patrem et dominum Dominum Henricum, permissione divina Cantuariensem archiepiscopum, totius Angliae primatem et apostolicae sedis legatum, in ecclesia Sancti Pauli Londoniarum, in octabis apostolorum Petri et Pauli, videlicet sexto die mensis Iulii anno Domini MCCCCXXIIo, indictione quinta decima, pontiflcatus sanctissimi in Christo patris et domini nostri Domini Martini, divina providentia papae quinti anno quinto, et translationis eiusdem domini archiepiscopi anno nono.

[3 lr] Die Lunae, videlicet dicto sexto die mensis Iulii praefatus reverendissimus pater archiepiscopus, de manerio suo de Lambeth, accessit ad dictam ecclesiam cathedralem Sancti Pauli, celebrataque per eum ad summum altare eiusdem ecclesiae missa de Sancto Spiritu, nonnullis provinciae suae episcopis et suffraganeis suis in celebratione eiusdem missae sibi assistentibus et eidem obsequentibus in pontificalibus (ut est moris). Et statim idem reverendissimus pater cum dictis coepiscopis et suffraganeis ac aliis praelatis et clero accessit ad capellam Beatae Mariae eiusdem ecclesiae, ubi statim in publica audientia venerabilis vir Magister Henricus Abingdon, sacrae paginae professor solemniter proposuit verbumDei sumptopro themate: ‘Sanctificateecclesiam', et ipsacollatione facta [et] fmita, incontinenti lectum firit certificatorium venerabilis viri Magistri David Price vicarii generalis Londoniensis episcopi tenorem continens subsequentem:

Reverendissimo in Christo patri et domino Domino Henrico, Dei gratia Cantuariensi archiepiscopo, totius Angliae primati et apostolicae sedis legato, commissariis in hac parte,’ quibuscunque David Price Lincolniensis ecclesiae canonicus reverendissimi in Christo patris et domini Domini Iohannis, Dei gratia Londoniensis episcopi in remotis agentis vicarius in spiritualibus generalis omnimodam oboedientiam et reverentias tanto patri debitas honore. Mandatum vestrum reverendum tertio die mensis Iunii ultimo praeteriti [3 June 1422] cum ea qua decuit reverentia recepi tenorem continens subsequentem:

Henricus, permissione divina Cantuariensis archiepiscopus, totius Angliae primas et apostolicae sedis legatus, venerabili fratri nostro Domino Iohanni, Dei gratia Londoniensi episcopo seu ipso in remotis agente eius vicario in spiritualibus generali salutem et fraternam in Domino caritatem. Effrenis ilia generis humani cupiditas quae a primis parentibus in posteros flierat seminata adeo mentes hominum modernis temporibus exagitat ut nee abstinere sciant a vetitis nee gaudere permissis, sed novas in malum quasi cotidie formas adinvenire satagunt, per quas inmaculatae Christi sponsae militantis ecclesiae quondam splendor errorum iam tenebris obfuscatur, decor emarcuit et iurium semitis derelictis in viam gentium divertitur per obliqu[ulm.
