Convocatio sive concilium provinciale reverendissimi in Christo patris et domini Domini Tobiae, providentia divina Eboracensis archiepiscopi, Angliae primatis et metropolitani, ac ceterorum praelatorum et cleri civitatis, dioeceseos et provinciae Eboracensis, auctoritate brevis excellentissimi in Christo principis et domini nostri Domini Caroli, Dei gratia Angliae, Scotiae, Franciae et Hiberniae regis, fidei defensoris etc., convocatorum inchoata sive inchoatum decimo octavo die mensis Februarii anno Domini (iuxta cursum et computationem Ecclesiae Anglicanae) millesimo sexcentesimo vicesimo septimo, regnique dicti domini nostri regis anno tertio, in domo capitulari ecclesiae cathedralis et metropoliticae Beati Petri Eboracensis, inter horas nonam et undecimam ante meridiem eiusdem diei, coram venerabilibus viris Iohanne Scott, decano dictae ecclesiae, Gulielmo Easdall legum doctore, vicario in spiritualibus generali dicti reverendissimi patris, Phinea Hodgson, sacrae theologiae professore, et Henrico Wickham, archidiacono Eboracensi, commissionariis dicti reverendissimi patris, ad praesidendum in synodo sive convocatione provinciali praelatorum et cleri totius provinciae Eboracensis legitime deputatis, in praesentiis nostris Richardi Brooke et Thomae Squire iunioris, notariorum publicorum.

Quibus die, horis et loco, lecto publice per praefatum Thomam Squire notarium antedictum brevi dicti serenissimi principis domini nostri regis pro pro [sic] hac convocatione isto die celebranda dicto reverendissimo patri directo, et etiam exhibitis eisdem venerabilibus viris literis honorabilibus praefati reverendissimi patris domini Eboracensis archiepiscopi ad praesidendum vice, loco, nomine et auctoritatem [sic] eiusdem reverendissimi patris in huiusmodi convocatione eis et aliis coniunctim et divisim directis, eiusque sigillo archiepiscopali sigillatis, iidem venerabiles viri, ob reverentiam et honorem tanti reverendissimi patris committentis, onus executionis earundem literarum commissionalium in se susceperunt, ac pro iurisdictione sua necnon de procedendo in omnibus et per omnia iuxta vim, formam, tenorem et effectum earundem decreverunt, et denuo, praeconizatis publice omnibus et singulis in huiusmodi convocatione sive synodo provinciali comparere de iure et antiqua consuetudine in hac parte usitata et observata debentibus, comparuerunt vel non, prout in schedula eorum nomina et cognomina in se continente plenius specificatur et declaratur.
