Convocatio sive concilium provinciale reverendissimi in Christo patris et domini Domini Tobiae, providentia divina Eboracensis archiepiscopi, Angliae primatis et metropolitani, ac ceterorum praelatorum et cleri civitatis, dioeceseos et provinciae Eboracensis, auctoritate brevis excellentissimi in Christo principis et domini nostri Domini Caroli, Dei gratia Angliae, Scotiae, Franciae et Hiberniae regis, fidei defensoris etc., convocatorum inchoata sive inchoatum decimo octavo die mensis Maii anno Domini millesimo sexcentesimo vicesimo quinto, regnique dicti domini nostri regis anno primo, in domo capitulari ecclesiae cathedralis et metropoliticae Beati Petri Eboracensis, coram venerabilibus viris Gulielmo Easdall, legum doctore, et Matthaeo Dodsworth in legibus baccalaureo, cancellario curiae audientiae dicti reverendissimi patris apud Eboracum, Henrico Wickham, archidiacono Eboracensi, Iohanne Hickes et Iohanne Bramhall sacrae theologiae baccalaureis, commissionariis dicti reverendissimi patris, ad praesidendum in synodo sive convocatione provinciali praelatorum et cleri totius provinciae Eboracensis legitime deputatis, in praesentia mei Richardi Brooke, notarii publici.

Quibus die, horis et loco, lecto publice per me Richardum Brooke notarium publicum brevi dicti serenissimi principis domini nostri regis pro hac convocatione isto die celebranda dicto reverendissimo patri directo, et etiam exhibitis eisdem venerabilibus viris Gulielmo Easdall, Matthaeo Dodsworth, Henrico Wickham, Iohanne Hickes et Iohanni Bramhall literis honorabilibus commissionalibus praefati reverendissimi patris domini Eboracensis archiepiscopi, ad procedendum vice, loco, nomine et auctoritatem [sic] eiusdem reverendissimi patris in huiusmodi convocatione, eis et aliis coniunctim et divisim directis eiusque sigillo archiepiscopali sigillatis, iidem venerabiles viri Gulielmus Easdall, Matthaeus Dodsworth, Henricus Wickham, Iohannes Hickes et Iohannes Bramhall, ob reverentiam et honorem tanti reverendissimi patris committentis, onus executionis earundem literarum commissionalium in se susceperunt, ac pro iurisdictione sua, necnon de procedendo in omnibus et per omnia iuxta vim, formam, tenorem et effectum earundem decreverunt, et denuo praeconizatis publice omnibus et singulis in huiusmodi convocatione sive synodo provinciali [312] comparere de iure et antiqua consuetudine in hac parte usitata et observata debentibus, comparuerunt vel non prout in schedula eorum nomina et cognomina in se continente plenius specificatur et decalartur.
