[33r] Convocatio praelatorum et cleri Cantuariensis provinciae facta auctoritate reverendissimi in Christo patris et domini Domini Iohannis Morton, Dei gratia Cantuariensis archiepiscopi, totius Angliae primatis et apostolicae sedis legati, in ecclesia cathedrali Sancti Pauli Londoniarum, tertio decimo die mensis Februarii anno Domini secundum cursum et computationem Ecclesiae Anglicanae millesimo CCCC octagesimo sexto, indictione quinta, pontificatus sanctissimi in Christo patris et domini nostri Domini Innocentii, divina providentia papae octavi, anno tertio et translationis dicti reverendissimi in Christo patris anno primo.

Quo tertio decimo die, praefatus reverendissimus in Christo pater ad dictam ecclesiam cathedralem Sancti Pauli accessit, ubi missam de Spiritu Sancto solemniter celebrans et ipsa missa functa, accessit ad capellam Beatae Mariae Virginis in eadem ecclesia, una cum reverendis in Christo patribus Petro Exoniensi, Iohanne Wigorniensi, Iacobo Norwicensi, Thoma Hereforensi, Iohanne Lincolniensi, Edmundo Roffensi et Thoma Sarum, Dei gratia episcopis ac aliis praelatis et clero, ubi facta solemni collatione per Magistrum Willelmum Grasonn [Grocyn] in artibus magistrum, assumpto pro themate: ‘Quid statis hie otiosi tota die?’ et ipsa collatione flnita exhibitum firit certificatorium reverendi in Christo patris et domini Domini Thomae, Dei gratia Londoniensis episcopi, cuius tenorsequitur in haec verba:

Reverendissimo in Christo patri et domino Domino Iohanni, Dei gratia Cantuariensis archiepiscopo, totius Angliae primati et apostolicae sedis legato, Thomas, permissione divina episcopus Londoniensis, oboedientiam et reverentiam omnimodam cum honore literas vestras reverendissimas iam pridem nobis directas ea qua decuit reverentia recepimus verborum sequentium sub tenore:

Iohannes, permissione divina electus confirmatus Cantuariensis etc. apostolicae sedis legatus, venerabili fratri nostri Thomae, Dei gratia Londoniensi episcopo, salutem et fraternam in Domino caritatem, literas domini nostri regis sigillo suo sigillatas nuper recepimus in haec verba:

Henricus, Dei gratia rex Angliae et Franciae et dominus Hiberniae, reverendissimo in Christo patri Iohanni, eadem gratia archiepiscopo Cantuariensi, totius Angliae primati, salutem. Quibusdam arduis et urgentibus negotiis nos securitatem et defensionem Ecclesiae Anglicanae ac pacem, tranquillitatem, bonum publicum et defensionem regni nostri et subditorum nostrorum eiusdem concernentibus, vobis in fide et dilectione quibus nobis tenemini rogando mandamus quatenus praemissis debito intuitu attentis et ponderatis universos et singulos episcopos vestrae provinciae ac decanos et priores ecclesiarum cathedralium, priores et alios clericos, exemptos et non exemptos, necnon archidiaconos, capitula, conventus et collegia,
