Convocatio praelatorum et cleri Cantuariensis provinciae, facta per reverendissimum in Christo patrem et dominum Dominum Henricum, Dei gratia Cantuariensem archiepiscopum, totius Angliae primatem et apostolicae sedis legatum, in ecclesia Sancti Pauli Londoniarum, die Veneris, videlicet vicesimo sexto die mensis Novembris, anno Domini MCCCCXVIImo, indictione undecima pontificatus sanctissimi in Christo patris et domini nostri Domini Martini, divina providentia papae quinti anno primo, et translationis dicti reverendissimi patris anno quarto.

Quo quidem die vicesimo sexto praefatus reverendissimus pater archiepiscopus, de manerio suae de Lambeth iter arripiens porrexit ad ecclesiam cathedralem Sancti Pauli praedictam, ibidemque missam de Sancto Spiritu ad summum altare eiusdem ecclesiae pro feliciori expeditione praefati negotii, assistentibus sibi in celebratione eiusdem missae venerabilibus patribus dominis Iohanne, Dei gratia Eliensi, Philippo Lincolniensi, Benedicto Bangorensi, Iohanne Landavensi et Edmundo Herefordensi episcopis solemniter celebravit; qua finita idem reverendissimus pater una cum venerabilibus patribus praedictis ac aliis praelatis et clero provinciae suae praedictae in multitudine copiosa accessit ad capellam Beatae Mariae [lOv] in eadem ecclesia et statim ibidem in publica audientia venerabilis vir Magister Iohannes Holand utriusque iuris doctor solemniter proposuit verbum Dei, sumpto pro themate ‘Pascite [qui in nobis est] gregem Dei’; qua collatione finita praefatus reverendissimus pater archiepiscopus intimavit eisdem praelatis et clero nova iocundissima, videlicet de assumptione et electione sanctissimi in Christo patris et domini nostri Domini Martini divina providentia papae quinti in concilio generali Constan[tiae] in die Sancti Martini episcopi ultimo tune praeterito ut asseritur gratiosissime celebrata, prout, (ut asseruit) idem reverendissimus pater, per quasdam literas de concilio generali praedicto inclitissimo principi Domino Iohanni, duci Bedford, custodi Angliae transmissas, quas ibidem publice idem reverendissimus pater perlegi fecit, sibi certitudinaliter tune constabat; pro quibus novis idem reverendissimus pater ac confratres sui praedicti ceterique praelati et clerus inibi congregati cum decantatione hymni ‘Te deum laudamus’ et aliis devotis orationibus Deo gratias atque laudes devotissime persolverunt.
