Thomas, permissione divina Cantuariensis archiepiscopus, totius Angliae primas et apostolicae sedis legatus venerabili fratri nostro Roberto, Dei gratia Londoniensi episcopo, salutem et fraternam in Domino caritatem. Pro quibusdam arduis et urgentibus negotiis statum, defensionem et utilitatem ecclesiae et regni Angliae concernentibus, praelatos et clerum nostrae Cantuariensis provinciae nunc pro cro ceteris temporibus magna nos urget necessitas convocare. Quocirca fraternitati vestrae comrnittimus et mandamus quatenus omnes et singulos dictae nostrae Cantuariensis ecclesiae suffraganeos infra dictam nostram Cantuariensem provinciam constitutos et absentium huiusmodi episcoporum si qui fuerint vicarios in spiritualibus generales citetis peremptorie et per eos decanos et priores ecclesiarum cathedralium ac singula capitula earundem, archidiaconos, abbates et priores conventus sub se habentes, alios ecclesiarum praelatos exemptos et non exemptos clerumque cuiuslibet diocesis, provinciae antedictae per duos sufficientes procuratores compareant coram nobis aut nostris in hac parte locum tenentibus vel commissariis, si nos tune impediri contigerit, in ecclesia Sancti Pauli Londoniarum, sexto die mensis Octobris proximo futuro [6 October 1403] cum continuatione et prorogatione dierum tune sequentium et locorum ad tractandum super arduis et urgentibus negotiis statum, defensionem et utilitatem ecclesiae et regni Anglicanorum concernentibus, ipsis tune ibidem seriosius exponendis suaque consilia et auxilia super eis impensuros, et ad consentiendum his quae ibidem ex deliberatione eorum ad honorem Dei et ecclesiae contigerit concorditer ordinari facturosque ulterius et recepturos quod iustum fuerit et huiusmodi negotiorum qualitas exigit et requirit; tenore etiam praesentium peremptorie vos citamus quod eisdem die et loco coram nobis vel locum nostrum tenentibus aut commissariis personaliter compareatis, super dictis negotiis tractaturi, praesensque nostrum mandatum quatenus vestras civitatem et diocesim concernit exequi per omnia faciatis, praelatis quoque ecclesiarum exemptarum non mendicantibus vestrae et aliorum venerabilium fratrum nostrorum coepiscoporum dictae provinciae diocesium, cuiuscunque fuerint ordinis, per vos et coepiscopos vestros prout vos et unumcunque vestrum concernit volumus intimari, ut praefatis die et loco absque praeiudicio privilegiorum suorum in hac parte quibus per hoc derogari nolumus, nobiscum intersint facturi et recepturi in praemissis et ea concernentibus quod superius est expressum.
