Summary
Performers announced for concerts; information mainly from RMU and RMWE.
1.Primary Performers at the Musical Union
Primary performers are defined as: leaders of ensembles (vn I), the core players of a string quartet configuration (vn II, va, vc) and pianists. Secondary string players (e.g. 2nd viola players in string quintets) and occasional collaborating artists (wind players, singers, etc.) are not included in this list. Calculations exclude the Director’s Matinees, thus normally a total of seven concerts. Numbers in parentheses indicate the number of performances given by that performer/group of performers in a season. Extra matinées are listed separately.
Abbreviations: vn = violin; va = viola; vc = violoncello;
pf = pianoforte; * = 1 shared performance as primary performers
