Summary
This book collects (in two volumes) the political writings of George Washington. The collection begins with writings from Washingtons young manhood and service in the French and Indian War and then follows his career as commander-in-chief of the revolutionary army, his role at the Constitutional Convention, his two terms as president of the United States, and his political musings in retirement. Finally, the work includes an appendix with accounts of Washingtons death and reflections on his legacy.
