Summary
Chapter 3 examines the production and exchange of oil and wine during the Mycenaean Palatial era. Evidence from patterns in drinking and eating equipment, transport stirrup jar distribution, and Linear B written records suggests olive oil and wine were tightly controlled commodities central to the construction of palatial elite bureaucracy.
