Summary

Thus Jesus, the good ferryman

brought the galley

to the city of Marseilles.

So, for the first time the Christian company

came there by sea.

After the custom of the apostles

they went to ask for shelter

all over the country.

Because nobody recognized them,

no one would look after

these strangers.

At last they settled down

in front of the city of Marseilles

– where the lord of the land,

the king of Sicily, lived

together with his wife –

in a small derelict house

downhill from the city.

scorn, slander and mockery.

Then Mary started publicly

to preach about Jesus Christ, her God,

in Marseilles.

To the unbaptized ignorant people

she taught the faith

as well as the Ten Commandments.

She forbade trusting
