Summary

THE WORKER'S LOT

Many readers will be glad to compare my text with the judgements of other scholars on the matters there treated. I have arranged these in two categories: (a) summaries by modern scholars of the evidence supplied on these points by medieval preachers or monastic records, and (b) summaries by first-rate specialists who take their evidence from all sources. Five at least of the writers are orthodox Roman Catholics—Bourgain, Lecoy, Schönbach, Arx and Robiou.
