This realisation has led agricultural scientists across the world to re-assess indigenous technical knowledge and integrate them in modern farming practices. Indigenous knowledge systems and technologies are widely believed to conserve resources and are also found to be affordable and sustainable, involving minimum risk to rural farmers and producers.
