HOME CIRCUIT

Lindsell, John. Joint clerk in 1558 with his ‘cousin’, John Glascock (below). Died before 14 Dec. 1558 when his will was probated.

Glascock, John. Occurs as clerk Dec. 1558–94(8). Joint clerk in 1558 with Jn. Lindsell (above). Adm. (age 17) as scholar from Eton to King's Coll. Cambridge 1541; fellow 1544–6; B.A. 1546. Adm. Inner Temple 1550; bencher 1568. Of Bobbingworth and Roxwell (Essex). From c. 1585 apparently exercising the office jointly with Jn. Mead (below), his son-in-law, since most assize records are signed ‘Glascock et Meade’. Associates: Ric. Emery, I559(W)–1576(W); Hen. Long, 1577(W)–1590(S); Jn. Mead, 1579(8)–c. 1585 (subsequently joint clerk of assize); Ric. Glascock, 1591–1600.

Meadf[e], John. Occurs as joint clerk with Jn. Glascock (above), his father-in-law, c. 1585–1594(S) and with Hen. Glascock (below) I595(W)–1599(S). His son Jn. served as an associate 1600–34 (below).

Glascock, Henry. Occurs as joint clerk with Jn. Mead (above) 1595(W)-1599(8) and as clerk until 1622(S). S. of Jn. G. (above). Clare Coll. Cambridge B.A. 1585; M.A. 1589. An attorney.

Associates: Wm. Courtman, 1594(W)–1606(W); Jn. Mead, 1600(W)–1634(S); Jn. Sorrell, 1597(S)–1624(W); Edw. Bowland, 1606(S)–1609(S); Daniel Everard, 1617(W)–1639(W).

Keeling, John. Clerk 1623(W–1625(W). Adm. Inner Temple 1609, as of New-castle (Staffs.); called 1618. Clerk of Crown in KB.; J.P. Essex; M.P. Newcastle (Staffs.) 1625–6. d. Hackney (Essex) 1649. Father probably deputy cl. of peace for Essex 1604–6.

Associates: Edw. Offley, 1624(S)–1625(W).

Eldred, John. Occurs as clerk 1625(S)–1649(W). Probably the Jn. E. who received B.A. from Emmanuel Coll. Cambridge 1611. S. of Jn. E. of London, gent. Adm. Lincoln's Inn 1611; bencher. Of Newington Butts (Surr.). d. 1649. Possibly related to Edw. E., clerk of the peace for Essex c. 1611–12.
