Summary

To the king our sovereign lord.

Your most humble poor beadsmen the Warden and friars of the house of Babwell beside Bury beseech that whereas [their] right gracious lord and patron Richard, duke of York intends to give them certain parcels of land and meadow to enlarge their house, if he might have a gracious licence to do it. May it please your noble grace to grant him your letters patent of licence after the effect and tenor of a schedule annexed to this supplication, without any fee or fine to be paid in any way. And your said beadsmen will pray God for your full high and noble estate.
