Summary

Chapter Seven focuses on the psychological consequences of certain objections to human germline modification. Allegedly, the technology leads to the birth of superior beings who will found genetic castes or new species, divide society, collapse democracy, commit genocide, and so on. Chapter Seven argues that such claims promote envy. The claims also encourage the public to scapegoat and commit aggression against children of HGM.
