Summary

(Commentary on Psalm 90; extracts)

Hilton's authorship of the commentary on Psalm 90 (‘Qui Habitat’; A.V. 91:‘He that dwelleth’) is not certain, but is suggested by parallels in thought and expression with The Scale, Book II, as in the handling of the theme of the opening of the spiritual eye.

Base manuscript: Lambeth Palace Library MS 472 (L), fols. 226v–228r, 231r–232v, 238V–239V. Also cited: CUL MS Hh. 1. 11 (HII).
