Summary
This volume contains the proceedings of the conference ‘Economics and Technology Policy’ organised by the Centre for Economic Policy Research and held in London on 1–2 September 1986.
Financial support for the conference was provided by the Department of Trade and Industry, British Telecom and the Centre for Economic Policy Research International Foundation to whom we express our gratitude. We would also like to thank Monica Allen for all her efforts to ensure the smooth running of the conference, Wendy Thompson for help in developing the conference proposal and in financial administration, Stephen Yeo for his assistance in getting this volume to press and especially John Black for all his efforts as Production Editor. In addition, on behalf of all the authors of the papers in this volume, we wish to thank the participants in the conference not only for their comments on these papers but also for their contribution to a most constructive and enjoyable event.
