Summary
Rosemary Jones is well placed to have an overview of 60 years of events constituting the modern history of developments in the understanding of gender dysphoria; her advantage is that she can do this from her uniquely qualified situation of being a trained medical specialist while suffering herself from the condition under discussion in this book. This has been an attempt to combine the history of the problem entwined in anecdotal reflection while trying to hint at current “best practice” and in anticipation of improvements in practice as yet to arrive.
