Summary
This chapter reviews fertility preservation options and procedures for trans female persons, since gender-affirming hormone therapy has a clear negative impact on steroidogenesis and spermatogenesis. Established urological procedures for fertility preservation can be applied early during the transition process to retrieve and cryopreserve sperm. Experimental strategies may be applicable at later stages.
