Si vous passez par Paris, j’aurais grand plaisir à vous serrer la main et je vous prie de croire à mes sentiments de sincère cordialité.

Having been away from Paris, I have read your two kind letters only today. Unfortunately, I have written nothing for the violin and cannot therefore take advantage of your offer.
