Summary

Charts on Materia Medica

The Indian systems of medicine (both folk and codified) use about 8,000 medicinal plants. The maximum number is used by the folk tradition, followed by Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Homeopathy, Tibetan and Modern respectively (see Table 1).
