Summary
The chapter describes situational, personal, organizational, and societal factors that cause life imbalance. Examples include imbalanced use of resources, having a priority ideology, a strong role identity, maladaptive perfectionism, individuals in management positions, workpolicies that promote boundary flexibility, nonsupportive supervisors, transitioning economies, and traditional gender roles.
