Summary
This chapter examines whether anger can cause individuals to weaken in their commitment to democratic norms and values. Utilizing another experimental approach, I show that anger does lower the citizenry’s commitment to democratic norms and values. These effects are most pronounced in regards to issues like political tolerance and respect for minority opinions.
